Recent storms east of the Texas Panhandle were behind a big drop in feeder cattle receipts at the test auctions, with just 25,900 head, down 20,000 from last week and last year. Prices were basically $1-5 lower following declines in the CME as well as fed cattle price declines.

Turning to slaughter cow, there was also a drop in receipts at the test auctions due to storms in some areas. The bulk of the prices were mostly $1-3 higher but those areas that had storms were easily up to $6 higher.
