You’ve heard of Black Friday. You’ve probably shopped online on Cyber Monday. But have you heard of Giving Tuesday? With the holiday season quickly approaching, families will be scrambling to stock their refrigerators, decorate their homes and wrap presents for loved ones that will be placed underneath Christmas trees; however, in this season of giving, we must also think about helping those less fortunate.

Whether it’s supporting the local church, donating hats, mittens and coats to those without or providing a meal for the hungry, there are many ways we can give back this Christmas season.

Another option this year is to support the Snack Pak 4 Kids program, which offers protein-rich snacks to hungry kids. These baskets ensure that kids don’t go hungry on the weekends or over the holiday break.

The program is based out of Amarillo, Texas, and serves more than 7,000 elementary, middle and high school students in 42 school districts. There are more than 4,000 volunteers who serve the program annually in Amarillo alone.

Currently, volunteers are working to package Snack Pak totes for the holiday season. Each kid will receive two Snack Paks for Thanksgiving break and three for Christmas break.

So how can you get involved? It’s easy. If you live in Texas, stop by any Alsup’s and Toot’n Totum convenience stores and purchase a Snack Pak 4 Kids Beef Stik. With each purchase, a second beef stick is provided to a child in need. Each beef stick is made with premium beef chuck roast or brisket and offers 9 grams of essential protein to hungry kids.

If you would like to support this program from afar, you can purchase beef sticks by clicking here. The program is also always looking for volunteers, sponsors, beef donations and online social media support. Share this blog to help spread the word and perhaps consider supporting a great program like this one this Giving Tuesday.
