Position Title: Customer Service Specialist
Position Type: 20-30 Hours/Week

The National Center for Beef Excellence (NCBE) is a non-profit, producer-focused
organization whose purpose is to increase connectivity and innovation in all segments
of the beef industry.
NCBE strives to support breed associations and cattle producers through animal registry
services, data management, industry collaboration, and program development. NCBE
efforts are aimed at building relationships, increasing demand-driven value, and
enabling increased business longevity to producers and organizations willing to
innovate.
Our mission is to increase operational efficiency for beef breed associations by
supplying services that allow them to better serve their membership.

The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for
customers, across various breed associations, by providing accurate information,
resolving issues, and delivering outstanding service. This position plays a key role in
maintaining positive customer relationships while supporting daily office operations
and company objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quality and timely customer service to various beef cattle association members through email and phone
  • Process breed registrations work, Genetic/DNA requests and other duties related to association management
  • Process invoicing and payments from members
  • Maintain an organized work environment

Other duties may include:

  • Publication and sale coordination
  • Sale video editing
  • Online auction support
  • Producer record management
  • Possible travel to industry meetings and events

Required Skills:

  • Agriculture and livestock experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive work ethic
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service or office experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs and office software
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Preferred, but not required:

  • Seedstock beef cattle industry knowledg
  • Association and non-profit background
  • Experience with cattle registration, DNA questions, and data management
  • Publication & design experience
  • Sale cattle videography & editing experience
